An important task that needs to be completed before you start catalog imports from an auto integration is adjusting the integration's currency and price conversion settings. These settings allow you to specify the currency or currencies in which you want to import prices from the integration's data provider and define the conversion rate to be applied if the imported prices are in a currency different from your store's default currency.
The currency and price conversion settings that will affect all imports through an auto integration can be found on the integration's settings page, within a section labeled "Currency & Price Conversion".
To adjust the Currency & Price Conversion settings for an auto integration:
In the Admin menu, select Catalog > Catalog Import.
On the page that opens, navigate to Settings > Auto integration name (Click on the name of your auto integration).
On the page that opens, scroll down to the Currency & Price Conversion section.
For screenshots of the Currency & Price Conversion section in a specific auto integration, refer to the individual documentation for that auto integration:
After making any changes to the settings in the "Currency & Price Conversion" section, be sure to save your changes using the Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen.
Currency & Price Conversion Settings
Most auto integrations share common "Currency & Price Conversion" settings.
Default currency (store): This is a non-editable field that displays the name and code of your store's default currency (e.g., Canadian Dollars (CAD)). The default currency is configured in the Store > Localization > Currencies section. If you need to change the default currency, you can navigate to this settings page using the Manage link provided.
Currency to import: This is a setting that allows you to choose the currency in which prices should be imported from the data provider.
If the data provider offers pricing information in only one currency, this field will display a single option. For example, in auto integrations like ASAP Network, AutoSync, and Turn14, the only available option in this field will be US Dollar (USD), as these integrations provide prices exclusively in this currency. However, some other integrations may offer multiple currency options. For instance, SEMA Data allows price imports in both US Dollars (USD) and Canadian Dollars (CAD), so the "Currency to import" setting will be provided as a selector with three options corresponding to USD, CAD, and a combination of both.
Note: The ability to select a currency option for the import of prices does not guarantee that prices in this currency will be available in the provider's catalog.
Conversion rate: This setting is provided only for configurations involving the import of prices in a currency other than the store's default currency. It allows you to set the currency conversion rate.
