X-Cart Billing FAQ

What payment methods can I use for my X-Cart bills?

You can pay your X-Cart bills using a credit or debit card, PayPal, or wire transfer. Upon subscribing to our services, you will receive an email with a payment link. After settling your first invoice, your subscription will be set for auto-charge by default.

Please note that auto-charge cannot be enabled for merchants in India. On a billing date, you will receive an email with a link to settle your invoice manually.

Most X-Cart products have either a one-time charge or a recurring subscription fee billed monthly, quarterly, or annually. Thus, you may have multiple charges within a billing period for different products, unless you started all your subscriptions on the same day.

My card payment is declined or failed. What should I do?

Typically, this indicates one of three things:

  1. The credit card set as the default payment option has insufficient funds.

  2. The transaction was stopped by the issuing bank because of suspicious activity or unusual spending patterns.

  3. Your current credit card has expired or was reported lost.

You will receive an email notification regarding this issue from either the payment processor (Stripe, PayPro, FastSpring, 2Checkout), your bank, or our billing department.

To ensure the continued operation of your website and to keep your subscriptions active, please inform us of any changes to your card information.

Remember to contact your bank to ensure your card is valid to avoid subscription disruptions.

How can I update my card information with X-Cart?

Customers billed via Stripe can update their payment information by contacting us at billing@x-cart.com. They will then receive an invoice link. Using a new card to pay will automatically set it as the new default payment method.

X-Cart customers charged through PayPro must manually update their payment information using the steps below:

  1. Log in to your PayPro account using the email address you used for payments.

  2. In the My Credit Card section, select Add New Card.

  3. Navigate to the Subscriptions section, choose the subscription you need to update the card for, and click Change card. Using the drop-down menu, select the new card you added to set it as the primary payment method for recurring payments.

How to pay for X-Cart using PayPal?

Please send us an inquiry at billing@x-cart.com if you prefer to pay for the X-Cart services using your PayPal account.

My PayPal payment has been rejected. What should I do?

If your PayPal account is used for subscription payments and a renewal fails, it could be due to the following reasons:

  • PayPal may have declined the transaction.

  • Your account has insufficient funds.

There are two options to fix this:

  1. Contacting PayPal support to authorize recurring payments for the X-Cart company.

  2. Canceling the current subscription and starting a new one with a different PayPal account or credit card. We can cancel the subscription for you, or you can do it yourself in the Subscriptions section of your PayPro Global account.

How can I view or export my invoices?

Navigate to the Orders section of the HelpDesk to access the complete billing history associated with your X-Cart account. There, you can also download printable invoices from the last 365 days. For older invoices, please contact our support team.

Can I change my subscription plan before the current billing cycle ends?

You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any point during your subscription cycle. However, if you make changes before the current period ends, the fees for that period are non-refundable and must still be paid.

Before proceeding with a downgrade, seek advice from our support team. Eligibility for downgrading depends on the size and complexity of your website. Remember that losing certain features may affect your web store performance.

How to cancel X-Cart services and get a refund on billing charges?

You can terminate your paid subscription at any time by contacting X-Cart support. Once the subscription is canceled, your credit card will no longer be charged.

To request a refund or receive assistance with billing errors, please contact us directly at billing@x-cart.com. Please note that not all products and services are eligible for refund or exchange. For more details, please refer to the X-Cart Terms of Service.

Please note that wire transfer refunds are subject to deductions for bank transfer fees.
