A shipping method is the delivery service a shopper selects at checkout. Its cost is charged in addition to product prices and any applicable taxes. Offering a well-rounded set of options can increase conversion by allowing customers to choose the most suitable, cost-effective delivery for their needs.
Common types of shipping methods:
Free shipping ($0 on all orders)
Free shipping on orders over X (e.g., Free shipping on orders over $50)
Flat rate (e.g., a $5 charge on all orders)
Custom rates (based on order weight or order value)
Real-time carrier rates dynamically calculated through carriers' live quote service.
Shipping methods are managed by the store administrator and can be configured in the Admin area on the Shipping page.
