Upon installing the Amazon add-on, a new menu item labeled "Amazon" will appear under the Channels menu in the Admin area of your X-Cart store.

Clicking on this menu item will direct you to the Amazon page, where you will find a comprehensive set of tools for managing your Amazon integration.

The first step in configuring your integration is to set up the marketplaces you will be working with, which can be done on the Marketplaces tab.

The integration provides you with the flexibility to connect your store to any number of Amazon marketplaces in different countries (the United States, Canada, France, Italy, etc.), allowing you to reach customers across various regions. You will need a seller account for each Amazon marketplace you are going to use. If you wish to use more than one seller account for a certain Amazon marketplace to manage different aspects of your business efficiently, the integration also allows you to do that.

Connecting Amazon Marketplaces

To connect a marketplace/seller account:

  1. On the Marketplaces tab of the Amazon page, locate and click the Connect Marketplace button.

  2. In the Connect Marketplace popup that appears, select the desired Amazon marketplace from the list provided. For example, if you have an account associated with Amazon.com, choose "Amazon.com (United States)". Then, click the Connect button.

You will be redirected to the Amazon login page.

  3. Log in using your Amazon seller account credentials.

  4. On the Authorize X-Cart integration page, review the permissions required by the X-Cart integration to access your Seller Partner account and related data. These permissions are listed on the page.

  5. Enable the checkbox option "I direct Amazon to provide X-Cart integration access to my Seller Partner account and related data. I am responsible for any actions taken by the application."

  6. Click the Confirm button to authorize the X-Cart integration.

  7. Once confirmed, you will be redirected back to the Amazon page in your store's Admin area. Here, you will see that the marketplace you have connected to your store is now shown on the list of connected marketplaces/accounts.

You may find it helpful to provide a brief description of the marketplace/account in the "Description" field to differentiate between multiple connected accounts while using Amazon Integration with your store. You can enter any relevant information, such as the email address associated with the account or the type of products you sell through it.

Amazon Marketplaces List

Amazon seller accounts connected to your X-Cart store and marketplaces associated with the respective accounts will be listed in the Marketplaces tab of the Amazon page in your store's Admin area.

The following information will be provided for each marketplace/account:

  • Marketplace name: This indicates the web address and country of the marketplace associated with the connected account.

  • Description: You have the option to provide a custom textual description for each account, aiding in differentiation between them.

  • Merchant ID: This is the unique identifier associated with the connected account.

  • Currency: The currency specified for transactions on the marketplace linked to the connected account.

The page also provides some controls that allow you to manage the connected marketplaces/accounts. For each connected marketplace/account you will find the following controls:

  • A slider allowing you to control the On/Off status of the marketplace/account:

Submission of feeds to Amazon and import of orders from Amazon is possible only for marketplaces/accounts in the "On" (Active) state.

  • A settings button (Gear icon) allowing you to access the marketplace settings.

  • A delete button (Trash icon) allowing you to delete (permanently disconnect) the marketplace if you no longer wish to use it with this store.

Configure a Marketplace Connection

Before you can start submitting product feeds to an Amazon marketplace connected to your X-Cart store, you need to configure the marketplace settings. This includes configuring data mapping rules and export/import options. More information on this is available in the section Configuring Marketplace Settings (Amazon Integration).

Remove a Marketplace Connection

If your X-Cart store is connected to an Amazon marketplace/account and you no longer want to use this marketplace/account with your store, you should disconnect it. This is a permanent solution (the information associated with this marketplace/account will be removed from your store).

To remove a marketplace connection:

  1. In the list of connected marketplaces/accounts, find the one that needs to be disconnected.

  2. Click the delete button (Trash icon) opposite its name.

  3. Click Save changes.

Once you confirm, the selected marketplace/account will be removed from the list.

Disable a Marketplace Connection

If you do not wish to submit feeds to a specific marketplace or import orders from there temporarily, it is possible to disable the respective marketplace/account connection. It is a temporary solution that allows you to keep the connected marketplace/account information in your store and re-enable the connection later, if necessary.

To disable a marketplace connection:

  1. In the list of connected marketplaces/accounts, find the one that needs to be disabled.

  2. Click on the slider control opposite its name readjusting it to the "Off" position.

  3. Click Save changes.

The selected marketplace connection will be disabled.
