Configuring the General Settings for Auto Catalog Import
The configuration page for Auto Catalog Import general settings is divided into three sections:
General Settings
In this section, you can adjust the following settings:
Update manually edited price and stock data: Activate this option if you want to allow manually edited product price and stock data to be updated by import via auto data provider integrations.
If multiple warehouses can ship the order, first sell the products [with the highest cost prices, with the lowest cost prices, according to stock priorities]: Specify the priority for selling products available from more than one stock source.
Selecting "highest cost prices" ensures that the product will be sold first from the source where it has the highest cost price.
Choosing "lowest cost prices" means it will be sold first from the source with the lowest cost price.
Selecting "according to stock priorities" prioritizes stock sources based on the order set in the "Stock & Price Priority" section below.
Stock & Price Priority
In this section, you will find controls for setting the priority of stock sources. This order needs to be configured if you’ve chosen to sell products based on stock priorities (corresponding to the "according to stock priorities" option in the "If multiple warehouses can ship the order, first sell the products" setting above.) A stock source can be either the stock from a warehouse distributor (Meyer Distributing, ATD, Turn14 Distribution, Wheel Pros, Keystone, etc.) or your store’s own inventory ("My Store"). Setting stock priority is essential if you use multiple integrations with different warehouse distributors or a combination of warehouse distributor integrations and your own store stock. Setting the priority is necessary when the same products are available from more than one source.
Listed in the "Stock & Price Priority" section are "My Store" (the store's own inventory) and warehouse distributor integrations that are currently enabled and configured to provide product stock data to your X-Cart store via the API. As you enable and connect new integrations, they are added to the top of the list. The integration at the top of the list has the highest priority in terms of which stock will be used to sell products.
Please note that the current implementation does not support automatic switching to the next stock source if the product ordered is out of stock in the primary source. Your X-Cart store will only use the top-priority stock source to sell products. If a product is unavailable from that source, it will be marked as out of stock and unavailable for purchase. To continue selling the product, you’ll need to manually adjust its stock settings in the Inventory tab of the product details, where you can set stock priority at the product level.
MAP Settings
Currently, this section provides only one setting, and this setting applies to all your auto integrations:
Set up how MAP is treated [use your vendor MAP, use the highest MAP, disable MAP enforcement]: MAP, or "Minimum Advertised Price," is the lowest price a manufacturer or brand permits retailers to publicly advertise for a product. This setting lets you specify which MAP price to use for a product.
Selecting "use your vendor MAP" applies the MAP from the warehouse distributor whose stock the product is sold from.
Choosing "use the highest MAP" sets the product’s MAP to the highest value across all stock sources, even if the product is sold from a different source.
Selecting "disable MAP enforcement" allows you to ignore any MAP price restrictions.
