After importing your approved brands from ASAP Network, you should now have a list of Available Brands on the ASAP Network Data Import page in your X-Cart store's Admin area (Catalog > ASAP Network, Data Import tab).

Before you proceed to import catalog data from ASAP Network, you will need to configure your import preferences for each of those brands.

If you no longer wish to import catalog data for a certain approved brand that has been imported into your store previously, you should remove this brand.

Editing Import Settings for a Brand Imported from ASAP Network

To configure your import preferences for a brand imported from ASAP Network:

  1. In the Available Brands list, locate the brand for which you would like to adjust your import preferences and click the Settings button (gear icon) opposite the brand name. For example, to adjust the import preferences for the brand "AGM Products", we will need to use this buttom:

As a result, a page with the brand details and import settings opens.

  2. Check the brand's import settings and, if necessary, make the changes you require. For information on the settings that can be adjusted, see ASAP Brand Details and Import Settings.

  3. Click the Save changes button at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

ASAP Brand Details and Import Settings

For each brand imported from ASAP Network you can access the brand details and import settings on a page accessible by clicking the Settings button (gear icon) opposite the name of the brand on the Available Brands list.

At the top of the page, you can see information on the brand status.

The brand will have one of the following statuses:

  • This brand is authorized.

(Your X-Cart store has received confirmation that the brand is on the list of approved brands for your account)

  • This brand is not authorized.

(Your X-Cart store has received information that the brand is not on the list of approved brands for your account)

The fields in the Import settings section can be used to specify your import preferences for the brand.

  • SKU Suffix: A custom SKU suffix, up to 5 alphanumeric characters long. If specified, this suffix will be used to replace brand ID in product SKU. If the field is left blank, brand ID will be used as a SKU suffix.

  • Price to import: The type of price that will be imported from ASAP. The following options are available:

    • MAP Price (The lowest price at which the product can be advertised; you cannot sell products imported from ASAP at a price that is lower than MAP price);

    • Commerce Price (Retail price).

Note: If you choose to import the MAP price, but the manufacturer does not have one for a product, the Commerce price will be imported for that product.

  • Price Adjustment: This field allows you to configure a price adjustment for prices that will be imported from ASAP. The adjustment can be applied as either a markup or a discount. When using a markup, the imported price will be increased by the percentage specified in this field. Conversely, when applying a discount, the imported price will be reduced by the percentage specified. Positive numeric values should be used for markups, while negative numeric values should be used for discounts. For example, adjusting this field to "-20.00" will result in applying a 20% discount. Note that if a price adjustment is configured as a discount, the price after the application of the discount will never be reduced to a value lower than the MAP price.

  • Vehicle Types: This field allows you to specify the vehicle types for which catalog data should be imported. By default, the integration will import data for all vehicle types (You will find all the vehicle types checked). If you need to limit the import of data to just certain vehicle types, make sure only those vehicle types are checked.

Important: The list of vehicle types for the brand may change over time; you have the ability to sync the list of vehicle types on the brand details page in your X-Cart store with the list of vehicle types for the brand in ASAP Network using the Sync Vehicle Types button at the bottom of the screen.

  • Import schedule: Set the switch to the "ON" position if you intend to allow the import of catalog data for the brand to be done automatically. This will expand an additional section where you will be able to configure your preferred import schedule for the brand.

Here you can set the date and time when the import should be performed. If you want catalog data for the brand to be imported periodically, also select the "Repeat every" box option. This will allow you to set the schedule.

For example, setting the import schedule like in the screenshot above will result in catalog data imports performed every day (once every 24 hours) starting on May 26, 2023 at 04:00 p.m. (UTC+4:00) Asia/Dubai. The imports will continue infinitely on this schedule until you choose to change the schedule settings.

If you do not wish to use automated import and wish to be able to start the import process manually, keep the "Import schedule" switch in the "OFF" position.

After making any changes to the brand import settings, be sure to save your changes using the Save changes button at the bottom of the screen.

Deleting a Brand Imported from ASAP Network

As a result, a page with the brand details and import settings opens.

  2. Click the Delete Brand button at the bottom of the screen.
