Before you start importing products with your auto integration, you must configure the settings that will affect the import process through this auto integration. These settings can be found on the integration's settings page, within a section labeled "Import Options".

To access the Import Options section for an auto integration:

  1. In the Admin menu, select Catalog > Catalog Import.

  2. On the page that opens, navigate to Settings > Auto integration name (Click on the name of your auto integration).

  3. On the page that opens, scroll down to the Import Options section.

For screenshots of the Import Options section in a specific auto integration, refer to the individual documentation for that auto integration. See the links below in the section "Integration-Specific Documentation on Import Options".

Most auto integrations share common "Import Options" settings, but some offer unique options.

General Import Options (Most Integrations)

  • Import mode: Specify the mode that you would like to use for importing products through this auto integration. Available options:

    • Add new products and update existing ones [default option];

    • Add new products only;

    • Update existing products only.

    Choosing wisely is crucial to prevent data conflicts if you use multiple integrations.

  • Update existing products by: Specify how you want to match products already in your catalog with those being imported using this auto integration. Technically, two products will be considered the same if they have the same identifier. The identifier to base the matching on can be one of the following:

    • Manufacturer Part Number [default option];

    • Product SKU.

  • Update: If you have specified in the Import mode setting that products should be updated during an import, select the data fields to update. At least one data field must be selected; otherwise, no data will be updated. To view the list of updatable data fields supported by a specific auto integration, refer to the individual documentation for that integration. See the links below in the section "Integration-Specific Documentation on Import Options".

    Important: If using multiple auto integrations, careful selection here is very important to avoid overwriting data imported through other integrations.

  • New product status: Specify whether products newly imported from ASAP Network should be automatically assigned the status "Available for sale". Select one of the following options:

    • Active: The "Available for sale" property of newly imported products will be set to "On".

    • Inactive: The "Available for sale" property of newly imported products will be set to "Off".

    Note that the selected option will apply to newly imported products only and will NOT affect any products imported earlier.

Integration-Specific Import Options

Auto integrations may have unique import settings; consult the individual documentation for the specific auto integration. See the links below in the section "Integration-Specific Documentation on Import Options".
