After configuring the Make/Model/Year add-on settings and Clean URLs format, set up filters and assign products to them.

To configure the filters:

  1. In your store's Admin area, navigate to Catalog -> Vehicles & Fitments.

The Vehicles & Fitments page will be opened at its All Vehicles tab.

  2. Add "Level 1" filters.

Start by clicking the "New <Level Name>" button (in our example, this will be "New Make").

If you have defined the name "Make" for Level 1, the filters should correspond with the different "Makes" that you have in your catalog.

If you used a different name for Level 1, you would see that name instead of "Make."

On the new line that appears, specify the name of the "Make" (or whatever other filter you are configuring).

If you want this element to display in a featured block on the Home page, enable the "Show on Front page" toggle.

Add as many filters as you need.

    Click "Save changes."

  3. Proceed to configure filters for the following levels (Level 2, 3, etc.).
For example, after adding a "Make," you need to add "Models" for it.

    To do so:

Start by clicking on the "Model" Items link opposite the Make.

On the page that opens, click the "New Model" button.

On the new line that appears, specify the name of the "Model" (or whatever other filter you are configuring).

If you want this element to display on the homepage promo block, enable the "Show on Front page" toggle.

Add as many filters at this level as you need.

    Click "Save changes."

Configuring filters for Level 3 and Level 4 ("Year," "Engine," or whatever other names you are using for them) should be done the same way.

  4. To provide additional details on the Level, configure the "Level Info" page as described here.

  5. After configuring filters for all levels, you will get the link "Manage Products."

Use this link to add products that match the filters when a shopper uses them for product search.

    • If your store has already been populated with products:

Start by clicking the "Add product" button.

A pop-up with a list of your store's products will appear.

In the pop-up, select the products that match the MMY filters you have configured.

    • If you have not added the products to your store's catalog yet, add them by CSV import.

For details, see the Make/Model/Year Add-on Data Import/Export.

When you complete the filter's configuration and assign products to filters, each product gets a new Fitment tab on the product details page. This tab records all available filter combinations for the product. Get more info on product fitments here.
