If your customers need help creating their orders, you can assist by creating their shopping carts for them.
This feature is especially useful for phone or email orders when time is tight, and customers don’t have the chance to browse products, search for VIN-compatible items, or manage large orders with specific quantities.
Instead of having customers rework their cart due to stock issues or unsuitable items, you can make adjustments beforehand, saving them time and making sure their cart is ready for checkout.
Once you’ve created the cart, they can check out with just a single click. It’s a win-win: customers enjoy a smooth experience, and you benefit from higher conversion rates, fewer abandoned carts, and less time spent explaining the process.
Filling a Cart for a Customer
As an admin, you can manage a customer’s account, including adding items to their cart. The items you add won’t remove anything that’s already in the cart.
Steps
Enter Operate as this customer mode to open their storefront.
Click Add products to cart by SKU in the pop-up to add items in bulk, or browse the store manually to select products.
On the next page, enter the SKUs and quantities of the required products.
Click Add more products to add more fields for additional items, or click the cross button to remove unnecessary fields.
Click Add to Cart.
In the pop-up window click View Cart.
Creating an Order
After filling the cart, you'll see two options on the cart page: Go to checkout and Send link to cart.
Option 1: Go to Checkout
Select this option to complete the purchase for your customer. You’ll go through the usual checkout steps.
Since you can't charge the customer without their consent, select Phone order as the payment method and arrange payment directly with the customer afterwards.
Option 2: Send Link to Cart
Select this option to let your customer complete the purchase themselves. You'll email them a link to their pre-filled cart with this message:
"Here is a link to your cart in our store [Link]. Please complete your checkout to place your order. The link will expire in 3 hours." |
|
When the customer clicks the link, they’ll be logged in automatically and taken to their cart to enter their address, choose a payment method, and place the order.
Leaving Customer Account
Click Quit in the pop-up after completing the purchase or sending the link to exit Operate as This Customer mode.
