Accessing Customer Account
To access your store as one of your customers, you must be a store administrator with root access or a user with a custom role that includes the Manage Users permission.
Steps
Go to Communications › Customers or to Store › Users (the procedure is the same on either page).
Find the customer in the user list and click on their [Login / Email], or click Add User to create a new customer.
On the next page, click Profile actions and select Operate as this customer.

As a result, the storefront homepage will open in a new tab with a pop-up at the top of the screen with the message: You are operating as [Name, Email] along with the Quit and Add product to cart buttons.
You can now view the storefront, add items to the cart and complete purchases, manage orders, troubleshoot issues, and perform other actions just like the customer.

Go to Users › Users List.
Locate the customer profile you require in the user list and click the email address to open the customer account.
From the Profile actions drop-down, choose the "Operate as this customer" action:
As a result, the storefront homepage will open in a new browser tab. You will see the "You are operating as customer_email_address" message at the top of the screen. You will also see the "You are operating as: customer_name, customer_email_address" overlay with the Quit button:
To quit using the "Operate as this customer" mode, click the Quit button in the overlay.
Alternatively, switch back to the tab with your Admin area and do any action requiring the page reload (for example, go to a different page within the Admin area). You will see a notification that you have finished operating as the customer:
Creating Orders on Behalf of Customers
Operate as this customer mode lets you create orders for you customers using an offline payment method. If offline methods are not set up in the store, Phone Ordering remains available in this mode, regardless of whether it’s disabled, and can be used to create orders for your customers.

Leaving Customer Account
Click Quit in the pop-up after completing the purchase or sending the link to exit Operate as This Customer mode.
