X-Cart allows you to manage your store’s storefront appearance using design themes. Theme management is performed from the Themes page in the Admin area.
To access theme settings, go to Design > Themes.

Current theme
At the top of the Themes page, you can see which design theme is currently active. The active theme is the one applied to the storefront and visible to customers.

You can switch to a different theme by selecting one in the Choose A New Theme section and clicking Submit.

(Please note that the actual set of themes available to you via the Choose A New Theme section may differ from the one pictured above.)
You can get access to more themes via X-Cart's template store - accessible via the Visit the template store link.

Some themes in the template store will be free, others will need to be purchased.
You can activate a purchased theme using the Activate purchased theme button.

If necessary, themes installed in your store can be disabled or uninstalled via Apps > My Apps. Themes are implemented as add-ons, so you can manage them in the same way as any other add-on—by locating the theme by name and then disabling or removing it as needed.
Additional theme settings
Below the name of the current design theme, additional theme-specific settings may be available. The presence and scope of these settings depend on the selected theme.
Dark/Light mode
This type of settings allows you to control how Dark and Light themes are used on the storefront.

The following options define how the storefront theme is selected and applied:
Default theme
This setting allows you to specify which theme should be used by default. The available options are:Dark — The storefront is displayed using the dark theme.
Light — The storefront is displayed using the light theme.
Browser defined — The storefront theme is determined automatically based on the customer’s browser or operating system preference.
Enable theme switching
When this option is enabled, customers can manually switch between Dark and Light themes on the storefront. This allows shoppers to choose the display mode that is most comfortable for them.
When disabled, the storefront uses only the theme defined by the Default theme setting, and customers cannot change it.
How theme selection works
Theme behavior depends on the combination of these settings:
If Browser defined is selected as the default theme, the storefront automatically follows the customer’s system or browser theme preference.
If theme switching is enabled, customers can override the default or browser-defined theme and select their preferred mode.
If theme switching is disabled, the storefront consistently uses the selected default theme for all customers.
After adjusting theme settings, make sure to save your changes. The updated configuration is applied to the storefront immediately.
Layout settings
This type of settings allows you to control the page layout in the storefront.

Storefront customization
Below the theme display settings, a button titled Customize storefront is provided. You can use this button to access the Storefront Builder - a comprehensive tool that you can use to adjust and customize the design of your store.
