Using the Sale add-on settings page, a store admin can configure how to display sale prices and offers and their information to store visitors.

You can access it via the Settings link:

The Sale add-on settings page provides the following options for configuration:

  • Display the "Products on sale" block in the storefront: This setting enables the display of the "Sale" block in all possible locations (including the store's Home page and category pages).

  • Display only the products on sale which are in the category being viewed (or its subcategories): This setting affects the contents of the "Sale" block on category pages. If enabled, the block displays products on sale only from the category being viewed or its subcategories. If disabled, the block displays products on sale from your entire store independently of the category.

  • The maximum number of products to be displayed in the "Products on sale" block: Specify the maximum number of products to be displayed in the "Sale" block on the storefront. For example, if set to "4", the page will display no more than four products. If more products are available, the "Sale" block on category pages may provide an "All products on sale" link pointing to the page with all products currently on sale.

  • How to handle multiple sale discounts: Choose the mode to calculate and display discounts in your store.
    The available options are as follows:

    • Apply maximum discount (default value): The maximum available discount rate will be applied to and displayed for a product in the storefront.

    • Apply minimum discount: The minimum available discount rate will be applied to and displayed for a product in the storefront.

    • Combine discounts: All available discounts will apply to a product with the total discount rate displayed in the storefront.

  • How to display links to sale offers in the category menu: Choose the mode to display the links to sale offers on the storefront.
    The available options are as follows:

    • Do not display;

    • Display under categories list (default value);

    • Display above categories list.

    Note that links to sale offer pages can be displayed above or under the list of categories in the sidebar only for sale offers created with the option "List sale products in a separate section" enabled. For details, see the section Creating a Sale Offer.)

  • Allow vendors to manage sale discounts for their own products (Multivendor edition only): This setting determines whether vendors should have access to the Sale section in the Vendor area (Discounts > Sale) and be able to create/edit sale offers for products in their part of the store's catalog. If enabled, vendors can access the Sale section and manage their sale offers. If disabled, access to the Sale section is not provided.
