To limit the availability of a coupon to a group of products:

  1. In the coupon details, enable the setting Valid only for specific products:

  2. Assign the coupon to specific products.

There are no limitations on the number of coupons that can be assigned to one product.

You can assign coupons to products using the methods described below.

Method 1: From the Coupon Details

Once you create a new coupon, it is added to the list of your store's coupons. You can click on the coupon code in the list to view the coupon details. For example, we have a coupon titled "CARE" ("CARE" is the coupon code our customers will need to enter to use this coupon).

If we click on this code, the following page will open with the details of this coupon:

The coupon details page of any coupons created with the setting "Valid only for specific products" enabled will have a Products tab.

The Products tab of coupon details is the place where you can assign the coupon to products. Here's how you can do it:

  1. On the Products tab of the coupon details page, click Add products.

  2. Select the products to which the coupon needs to be assigned from the list in the pop-up and click the Add products button at the bottom of the pop-up.

The coupon will be assigned to the selected products. Once the pop-up is closed, you will see the products to which you have assigned the coupon displayed as a list on the Products tab of the coupon details page.

If necessary, you can unassing products from the coupon by using the Trash buttons.

Note that you can quickly access the Products tab using the direct link in your coupons list.

Method 2: Using Bulk Editing

The Bulk edit tool enabled by the Bulk Editing add-on is primarily used to manage the existing coupon assignments. However, you can still use it to assign a new coupon to a group of products in bulk if required.

The Bulk edit tool is available on the Products page (Catalog > Products):

It can be applied to all the products listed on the page or to selected products (Select specific products on the product list to switch to the "Bulk edit selected" mode).

To apply the tool, click on the tool button (Bulk edit all / Bulk edit selected) and select "Coupons" from the list.

On the page that opens, use the "Click to specify" button to select the coupon that will apply to the products:

Click inside the Coupons field and enter the coupon code you require (start typing and/or select).

Ensure the action is set to Add:

Click Save changes. The coupon will be assigned to the selected products.

Method 3: From the Product Details

You can use the product details page to assign coupons to the product.

On the Products page (Catalog > Products), open the product you require for viewing/editing. Ensure you're viewing the Info tab.

Scroll down to the Prices & Inventory section, locate the Coupons field, and click inside that field to check for available coupons:

Start typing and/or select the coupon code you want to assign to the product and click the Update product button at the bottom of the page to save the changes.
