X-Cart allows you to create coupons for your customers with the Coupons add-on installed and enabled. A coupon is a secret code that a customer can use to get a discount on their order - typically, a fixed amount off, a percentage off, or free shipping. You can limit coupons for a specific order subtotal amount, time, product category, product class, user membership level, or user address zone. If necessary, it is also possible to set the number of times a coupon can be used.

You can extend Coupons add-on with the Free Shipping and Shipping Freight add-on facilities. By running your store with both these add-ons enabled, you get the ability to create coupons for free shipping.
