After successful completion of the import of brands and configuring the brand import settings (you are required to configure the categories to import), you should be able to import catalog data from SEMA Data.

It is possible to launch an import of catalog data for any specific brand manually or to adjust an import schedule for individual brands so import can be done automatically.

The Data Import page for SEMA Data integration in your X-Cart store's backend will be the hub for all your catalog data import operations. On that page, you will be able to view detailed information about the import of catalog data for each brand.

The columns provide the following information:

  • Brand Name: Name of the brand (as received from SEMA Data).

  • Products: The number of products that have been imported from SEMA. The number is a link to a page where you can view detailed information about the products that have been imported.

  • Brand ID: The brand ID.

  • SKU Prefix/suffix: The SKU prefix/suffix (as configured in the brand import settings).

  • Import Schedule: The brand's scheduled import date and time.

  • Import Status: The current import status for the brand.

The filtering facilities at the top of the page allow you to filter the table contents and easily find the information you require.

Each brand on the list has its own Settings button that allows you to re-adjust the import preferences for the brand.

Brands that have an "i" icon displayed in the column at the far right need their settings checked before they can be imported. The presence of such an icon means that you have not yet selected categories to import for the brand; without this information, the integration cannot proceed with importing catalog data.

Each brand that can be imported has its own Import button that allows you to manually launch an import of catalog data for it.

To manually launch the import of catalog data for a brand, simply click the Import button opposite the brand name. Clicking the button will create a task to import catalog data for the brand. If more than one task needs to be handled by the system, the task will be queued. The integration can provide notification messages on the same page about the status of data import. To see the current status, refresh the page.

For import tasks that are queued or in progress, an "Х"("Cancel import process") button is provided. Please note that after clicking this button the integration takes some time to cancel/stop the import process. (The import process cancellation does not take place immediately.)
