Importing Catalog Data from Turn14 Distribution

After successful completion of the import of brands and configuring the brand import settings, you should be able to import catalog data from Turn14 Distribution.

It is possible to launch an import of catalog data for any specific brand manually or to adjust an import schedule for individual brands so import can be done automatically.

The Data Import page for Turn14 Distribution integration in your X-Cart store's backend will be the hub for all your catalog data import operations.

In the Available Brands section, you will be able to view detailed information about the import of catalog data for each brand.

The section columns provide the following information:

  • Brand Name: Name of the brand (as received from Turn14 Distribution)

  • Brand ID: The brand AAIA ID (as received from Turn14 Distribution). Brands for which AAIA ID information is missing at the time of import get a custom-generated ID; for example, "T-428".

  • SKU Prefix: The SKU Prefix (as configured in the brand import settings)

  • SKU Suffix: The SKU Suffix (as configured in the brand import settings)

  • Price Adj: The price adjustment (as configured in the brand import settings)

  • Products: The number of products of the brand available for import from Turn14 Distribution (according to the information received from Turn14 Distribution)

  • Imported: The number of products that have been imported from Turn14 Distribution. The number is a link to a page where you can view detailed information about the products that have been imported.

  • Unimported: The number of products for which import has failed. The number is a link to a page where you can view detailed information about the products that have not been imported.

  • Import Status: Current import status for the brand. The possible statuses are Queued, Scheduled, In Progress, Failed, and Completed.

When needed, you can sort the content of the Available Brands list using the column headers in the table. For instance, by clicking on the column header "Import Status," you can arrange the list based on the status and the date/time of import (either in ascending or descending order).

Each brand on the list has its own Settings button that allows you to re-adjust the import preferences for the brand and configure a schedule for the automated import of catalog data, if necessary.

Each brand that can be imported has its own Import button that allows you to manually launch an import of catalog data for it.

To manually launch the import of catalog data for a brand, simply click the Import button opposite the brand name. Clicking the button will create a task to import catalog data for the brand. If more than one task needs to be handled by the system, the task will be queued. The integration can provide notification messages on the same page about the status of data import. To see the current status, refresh the page.

For import tasks in the status "Queued" or "In progress", the Import button is replaced by the Cancel import process button allowing you to cancel the import.
