In a previous guides, we covered how to create and manage product variations in your X-Cart store. Now, let’s look at how to display them to your customers.

You have two options: group variations as a single product with selectable options, or list each variation separately.

To change how Variation Appear in the Product List:

Depending on the selected display mode, customers will see variations either grouped into a single product card or shown as separate items, each with its own name and price.

Let’s see how each option looks in your store and the differences between them.

By default, customers see a single product – the first available variation based on CloudSearch filters.

The price displayed will either be a range (e.g., $50–$100) covering all matching variations or a single price if only one variation matches or all of them have the same item cost.

Instead of the usual Add to cart button, customers can click View Options to open the product page for the first variation and select from other available variations.

In this mode, each product variation appears separately as its own item. The price for each variation is displayed on the product card, along with specifications based on the selected attributes (e.g., size 18-19 inches or color: Silver or Matte Black).

Each variation has its own Add to Cart button, allowing customers to add the exact variation to their cart.
