In X-Cart, it is possible to add an editable "Textarea" attribute option. Adding an editable value for a product attribute creates an empty editable text area field on the product details page in the storefront, where buyers can enter their custom text before adding a product to the shopping cart. You can use this feature to provide personalization options for products, like monogramming, embroidery, etc.
To configure a "Textarea" attribute option as editable, you need to leave the "Attribute option" field empty and select the "editable" check box next to it before saving the changes.
