To add a new attribute group to the list:
In your store's Admin area, go to the Classes & Attributes page (Catalog > Classes & Attributes).
NOTE: In X-Cart 5.4.x and earlier, you need an additional step to access the attribute grouping facilities. First, click the "Edit attributes (N)" link to access the particular attribute listing page:
Click the "Manage groups" button.
A popup titled "Manage attribute groups" appears.
Use the "New group" button to add as many attribute groups as you need:
Click Save changes.
A newly-added attribute group will appear in the All Attributes list of the Classes & Attributes page (Catalog > Classes & Attributes). It will be empty and will not yet have any attributes in it.
To add attributes to the group, you must manually move edit the existing attribute properties or use the import facilities. You can also assign this group when creating a new attribute.
