Create an account with Affirm.

Ensure the Affirm add-on is installed and enabled in your X-Cart store. Add-on installation instructions for X-Cart 5.5.x are available.

In your X-Cart store's Admin area, go to the Payment Methods page (Store > Payment Methods). In the Online section, click the Add payment method button.

In the popup, use the filter at the top of the list to find Affirm. When filtering, be sure to specify All countries or select an actual country where Affirm is available. (At the time of writing this article, Affirm is available only in the United States and Canada).

Once Affirm has been found, click the Add button next to the method name to add this method to your store.

As a result, the popup will close, and Affirm will be added to your store's list of payment methods. You will be redirected to the Affirm Settings page.

On the Affirm Settings page, enter your Affirm account credentials and configure the remaining settings. For more information, see Configuring Affirm Settings in X-Cart.

Save your changes.

The settings will be saved. At the top of the page, you should see a success message stating, "The data has been saved successfully."

Once the settings have been saved, a new setting will be added to the settings page (The payment method is: On/Off); you can use it to control the availability of the payment method to buyers. To enable Affirm payments, set this to "On".
