Listing products on Amazon with List Offer (Amazon Integration)

List a group of X-Cart products as new offers on Amazon in one step

Written by Anna Verbichenko

The workflow described in this article is supported by X-Cart 5.6.0.17 and later.

List Offer lets you take products that already exist in your X-Cart store and list them on Amazon as offers linked to matching products already in Amazon’s catalog. It’s the fastest way to get a batch of products onto Amazon without preparing a full product feed by hand.

Note: List Offer connects your products to existing items in Amazon’s catalog — it matches them by UPC, EAN, or another GTIN. It does not create brand-new Amazon catalog entries for products that don’t already exist on Amazon.

Before you continue, make sure you have at least one Amazon marketplace connected — see Managing marketplace connections (Amazon Integration).

How List Offer works

When you submit products with List Offer, X-Cart does the following:

  1. Pre-check filters your products. X-Cart checks each selected product against the Amazon catalog. Products without a GTIN (UPC/EAN, etc.), or whose GTIN doesn't match any product in Amazon's catalog, are skipped and not sent to Amazon. You can track the pre-check progress in the top toolbar.

  2. Eligible products are submitted to Amazon. X-Cart sends a single feed to Amazon containing all products that passed the pre-check. Each product becomes a new offer linked to its matched Amazon product (ASIN).

  3. Results appear in your feed history. Amazon usually finishes processing within a few minutes. You can review the outcome — including any products that were skipped or not accepted — as described in Viewing and managing your store's feed submission history.

Products that are already listed on Amazon (from a previous submission) skip the

catalog-matching step and are simply updated.

The price sent to Amazon includes your marketplace's Price Adjustment setting, the

same way it does for other Amazon export operations.

Listing products with List Offer

  1. Go to a product list page in your store’s Admin area — this can be your full product list, a category’s product list, or a filtered list.

  2. Select the products you want to list on Amazon.

  3. Click the Amazon button below the product list, then choose List offer from the menu. If you have more than one connected marketplace, choose the destination marketplace first.

  4. Review the confirmation popup.

It shows the marketplace account(s) you’re listing to, the number of selected products, and a short explanation of what happens next.

  5. Click Submit feed to proceed (or Cancel to go back).

Your products now go through the pre-check and submission process described above.

Reviewing skipped products

Some products may not qualify for List Offer and will be skipped before they ever reach Amazon. To see which products were skipped and why, open the feed’s detail page (see Viewing and managing your store’s feed submission history) and check the Skipped tab, next to Summary, Rejected, and Accepted.

For each skipped product, you’ll see one of the following reasons:

Reason

What it means

What to do

No GTIN

The product has no UPC, EAN, or other identifier set.

Add a GTIN on the product’s page, then run List Offer again.

No matching product on Amazon

The product’s GTIN didn’t match anything in Amazon’s catalog.

Double-check the GTIN is correct. If the product genuinely isn’t in Amazon’s catalog yet, List Offer can’t list it — see the note at the top of this article.

Multiple possible matches

The product’s GTIN matched more than one item in Amazon’s catalog.

Pick the correct match manually on the product’s page, then run List Offer again.

Currency mismatch

Your store’s currency doesn’t match the marketplace’s currency.

Set up multi-currency rates for that marketplace, or choose a marketplace that uses your store’s currency.

FAQ

Q: What’s the difference between “List offer” and “Update offer qty” / “Update offer price” in the Amazon button menu?

A: List offer is for products you haven’t listed on Amazon yet — it runs the pre-check and creates new offers. Update offer qty and Update offer price are for products that are already listed on Amazon; they sync your current stock level or price without going through the pre-check.

Q: I selected products that are already listed on Amazon. What happens if I run List Offer on them?

A: They’re updated normally — since they already have a matched Amazon product (ASIN), they skip the catalog-matching step.
