The X-Cart Gift wrapping add-on allows you to offer gift wrapping to your customers.
Gift Wrapping Add-on Setup
To start using the "Gift Wrapping" add-on, ensure it is installed and enabled as described in Installing Add-ons from X-Cart App Store.
After installing the add-on, proceed to the add-on settings page. The "Gift Wrapping Addon Settings" page allows you to adjust the following settings:
Allow adding a greeting message to orders: Enable the toggle to allow customers to add a greeting message or a comment to their order.
Flat fee per order: Set a flat gift wrapping fee per order (covers all items in an order).
Additional fee per item (starting from the second one): If applicable, set a price for each additional item in the cart. The amount specified here will be added to the flat fee determined by the previous setting.
Click "Submit" to make the changes active.
For the attention of Multivendor users:
The Gift Wrapping add-on adds the "Sum up gift wrapping costs" setting to the Multivendor add-on settings page. This setting needs to be enabled for the "Gift Wrapping" add-on to function correctly with Multivendor.
Customer Experience
In a store with this add-on enabled and configured, customers get the "Add gift wrapping" option on the cart page on the storefront.
If the "Allow adding a greeting message to orders" option is enabled, the customer can also add a greeting message or comment.
The gift wrapping option and the greeting message are then added to the cart and displayed at checkout in the storefront and the order details in the Admin area.
