Google Pay + PayPal via X-Payments
We've already covered how to configure Google Pay in X-Payments for various payment methods. However the process is slightly different for PayPal. Let’s walk through each step in this guide.
Before you start
Create an X-Payments Cloud Account via your X-Cart Admin.
Enabling Google Pay
At this point, you should have your PayPal account connected to X-Payments. If not, follow these steps:
I have a PayPal account but haven’t connected it to X-Payments yet

Once you've connected your PayPal account to X-Payments, the next step is to ensure that Google Pay is enabled in your X-Payments Dashboard.
You can check this in two places:
On the PayPal payment method page in X-Payments
In the general settings of X-Payments
Via Payment Method page
Click 🔧 Settings in the top right corner, then select Payment Processing.
Find PayPal and click on it.
Scroll to the bottom of the page to find Google Pay.
If Google Pay is disabled, click
Configure
.On the next page, click the Status selector and switch it to
Enabled
.
Via General Setting
Click 🔧 Settings in the top-right corner, then select General.
Scroll down to the Services section.
Find Google Pay, and if it’s disabled, click
Configure
.On the next page, click the Status selector and switch it to
Enabled
.
Customer Experience
Once set up, customers will see Google Pay as a new payment option at checkout, on the product page, and in the mini-cart.
Your Experience as a Merchant
When a customer makes a purchase at your store using Google Pay, you’ll be able to see this in your X-Payments Dashboard.
Go to Payments.
Click on a specific payment to open the Payment Details page.
On the right side of the page, next to the credit card number used with Google Pay, you’ll see the Google Pay logo.
