Customer Experience

Filtering

Buyers can filter products by specifying the MMY attributes of their vehicle (like 'make', 'model', 'year', and 'submodel'). The vehicle selection filters can be found at the top of every page.

IMG 1 – Make/Model/Year Default Filters Selected

After setting their preferences and clicking 'Go', customers will see a list of search results matching their filter combination. (The search results may include categories only or categories along with products, depending on the add-on’s settings.)

IMG 2 – Make/Model/Year Default Filters Applied

If a filter level has only one nested level, the nested level filter will be selected automatically.

IMG 3 – Filters Autofilled

Customers can save 💾 their selection as a preset for future use in their account profile by checking 'Add to my garage' before clicking 'Go'.

IMG 4 – Add to My Garage Checkbox

Next time they shop at your store, they'll see parts for their specific vehicle right away, without needing to adjust filters.

If they have multiple vehicles, they can switch between them using the 'My Garage' drop-down.

Pages

Using the MMY add-on introduces several new types of pages to the storefront area of your store:

Landing Pages

These pages display filtered results based on the MMY levels configured in your store. To access a landing page, customers must apply the MMY filter step by step for each level and click the Go button.

For example, if the filter levels in your store are Make, Model, Year, and Submodel, selecting values for each level (e.g., "Make: Toyota," "Model: Land Cruiser," "Year: 1987," "Submodel: Base") will lead customers to a landing page that displays the results of their filtered search.

Level Info Pages

These are specialized pages that provide information about a specific MMY filter level. Access to a level info page can be provided via a link (The link can be found in the configuration settings for that specific level in the Admin area).

Vehicle Selection Pages

These pages are dedicated to specific MMY filter levels, such as:

  • "Shop By Make" for the "Make" level,

  • "Shop By Model" for the "Model" level,

  • "Shop By Year" for the "Year" level, and so on.

The name of each page corresponds to the filter level and is displayed based on how the levels are named in your store’s configuration.

Store visitors can access a level-specific vehicle selection page using one of the following two methods:
- through a direct link (for example, https://<your-store-address>/shop-by-make/ to view the "Shop By Make" page - unless the clean URL alias for this type of page has been changed);

- through the "View all" link in the respective featured block (See below).

Featured Blocks

Selected MMY levels can have featured blocks on the Home page.

Clean URLs

Each combination of MMY filters chosen by a customer generates a unique URL extension, creating a Clean URL for that specific page. The MMY add-on supports flexible management of Clean URLs for pages generated by its functionality.
