The "Page Title Format" section of the SEO Settings page manages how your online store page titles display in the storefront.

Here, you can select what elements to display and what delimiter to use between the elements. The selected format will apply to all core store pages. However, the add-on pages may go beyond the defined settings.

  • X-Cart 5.4.x - Store Setup > SEO Settings > General

  • X-Cart 5.5.x - Settings > SEO > Website

Configure the following settings:

  • Company name (5.4.x) OR Show Company name (5.5.x): Use this toggle to enable/disable displaying the company name in a page title. The company name is defined in the store profile.

  • Parent category path (5.4.x) OR Show Parent category (5.5.x): Use this toggle to enable/disable displaying the parent category name in a page title. If disabled, only the last nesting level category names will display in the page title.

  • Show Object name (category, product, etc.) in page title FIRST (5.5.x): Enable this toggle if you want the object name displayed in the page title first.

The object name is the name of a product, category, etc., that displays on the storefront page. The "Preview" block dynamically reflects the changes you apply to the page title format. Use it to see how your online store page titles will display in the storefront.

Note: In X-Cart 5.4.x, you enable displaying the object name part of the page title and the sequence of display separately using the "Object name (category, product, etc.)" and the "Show object name in page title" toggles, respectively.

Click Submit to save configuration changes.

You can find the fields to set a page title (or rather the object name part of the page title):
