To start using X-Cart's Keystone integration with your X-Cart online store:

  1. To use X-Cart's Keystone integration, you must already be a dealer of Keystone Automotive Operations Inc (KAO). If you're not yet their dealer, you can apply to become one here: Keystone Automotive Operations Inc - New Customers.

Once you have a KAO account set up, you will be able to configure the integration settings in X-Cart. If you have any questions, please contact sdksupport@key-stone.com.

Note: Keystone has jobber accounts and dropshipper accounts. The current version of X-Cart's Keystone integration fully supports work with Dropship accounts only. Jobber account users can use the integration for product import; however, the order and shipment part of the functionality is not supported at this time for Jobber accounts.

  2. Ensure that the add-on "Keystone" is installed and enabled at your X-Cart store. (See add-on management instructions for X-Cart 5.5).

Note that X-Cart's Keystone integration requires a few other add-ons for operation:

"Auto catalog import" (provides building blocks for catalog provider integrations)

"Split Shipment" (enables splitting an order into multiple packages shipped from different locations)

The above-named add-ons must be installed and enabled for as long as you use the Keystone integration.

  3. Ensure that the "Time zone" setting for your X-Cart store has been adjusted properly; it can be found on the Localization > Units & Formats page of your X-Cart store's Admin area.

Important: The time zone specified in php.ini in your store's server environment must be the same as the time zone specified in your X-Cart store's Localization settings.

  4. Check with the X-Cart team to ensure the necessary server environment setup required for your X-Cart store to use Keystone has been completed.

  5. Obtain your Keystone credentials and save them in your Keystone integration settings. For details, see:

Inform your KAO support team contact of the IP address of the server on which you are going to use Keystone. This is important so the said IP address can be whitelisted on their system to enable data transfer.

  6. Configure your import options. See Configuring the Import Options.

  7. Consider whether you will need to perform currency conversion for prices imported from Keystone and complete the necessary setup for currency and price conversion accordingly. See the guide on Setting up the Currency & Price Conversion for more details.

Note that your store's default currency is specified in your store's Localization settings (Store > Localization, Currencies tab). For more information on X-Cart store configuration related to currencies, see Currency.

  8. After your X-Cart Keystone integration has been successfully connected to Keystone, you will need to import brands from Keystone. The brands imported from Keystone will be added to the brands list on the Data import page for Keystone integration. See Importing Brands from Keystone.

  9. Keystone does not provide category information for products, which means the integration does not currently support category mapping. By default, all products imported from Keystone are placed in the category "Keystone".

  10. After importing brands, configure your import preferences for each of the brands. Each brand will have its own data import settings, so you will be able to fine-tune your catalog data import on a per-brand basis. For details on configuring catalog data import settings, see Brand-specific Configuration of Catalog Data Import from Keystone.

  11. If you wish to use automated catalog imports from Keystone that will be done periodically on a schedule, configure the import schedule for your Keystone brands. See Configuring the Import Schedule for Keystone.

  12. Let the integration import catalog data from Keystone. Depending on how you have configured your catalog data import preferences for specific brands, the import will be done automatically on schedule or will have to be initiated manually. See Importing Catalog Data from Keystone.

  13. Once the data has been imported from Keystone, please verify the consistency of your catalog data. Make sure Keystone products have all the necessary information in the product details. Check their stock settings and ensure they are visible on the storefront and available for sale. See Product Information Management for Keystone Products.
