Most of the pages that make up your online store (like the front page, category pages, product pages, etc.) are dynamic pages. The content of such pages cannot be edited directly but such pages can be adjusted using the UIs of your store's Admin area. We will refer to such pages as "catalog pages".

You can find your catalog pages listed on the "Catalog Pages" tab of the "Menus & Pages" page (Store Design > Menus & Pages) of the Admin area.

For each page/page group, the following information is provided:

  • Page name: The name of the page (like "Front page") or page group (like "Category pages", "Product pages" or "Brand pages"). The name is a link to the section in your store's Admin area where you can adjust the content of this page/group of pages, or access the settings of the add-on through which this page is implemented.

  • Layout: A schematic diagram of the layout selected for the page/page group. You can adjust the page layout in the Storefront Builder.

  • Page URL and Preview: A link to the page or, in the case of page groups, a link to an example of a page of the named page type. If clicked upon, the link opens in the Storefront Builder where you can adjust the design for the page/page group.

You can expect to find the following pages/page groups in your store:

  • Front page - The home page of your store website as seen by the visitors of the storefront area. For information on the management of this page, see Front Page Setup (X-Cart 5.5.x).

  • Category pages - A group of pages with information about specific product categories. For information on the management of categories, see About Categories.

  • Product pages - A group of pages with information about specific products. For information on the management of products, see About Products.

  • Brand pages (added by the add-on Shop by Brand) - A group of pages with information about specific brands. For detailed information on the management of brands, see the article Shop by Brand Add-on.

  • Special-purpose pages implemented through the use of X-Cart add-ons, for example:

Note that the set of special-purpose pages available in your catalog will vary depending on what add-ons are installed and enabled in your store.
