An overview of the Messages add-on that makes possible the admin-customer communication within an order.

An easy and convenient way to reach the seller gives customers confidence in the business and breeds customer loyalty. You can facilitate order-related communication between customers and sellers with the Messages add-on in your online store.

The customer and the seller can initiate an order discussion right from the order details page with this add-on enabled. If there is a problem with an order, it is possible to open a dispute. All the communication about a specific order is stored in a communication thread linked to that particular order. It can be easily accessed by the participants of the communication process at any time. A well-thought-out notification system ensures that no message will be left unread.

In a Multivendor X-Cart store, you can use the add-on to enable communication between the customers, the individual vendors acting as sellers, and the store owner. More information on the use of the add-on with Multivendor is available in the Messages Add-on: Usage with Multivendor section.

To enable the messaging functionality in your store, turn on the Messages add-on.
