An easy and convenient way to reach the seller gives customers confidence in the business and breeds customer loyalty. In an X-Cart store, order-related communication between the customers and the seller can be facilitated with the add-on Messages.

With this addon enabled, either the customer or the seller can initiate a conversation with regard to an order right from the order details page. If there is a problem with an order, it is possible to open a dispute. All the communication pertaining to a specific order is stored in a communication thread linked to that particular order and can be easily accessed by the participants of the communication process at any time. A well-thought-out notification system ensures that no message will be left unread.

In a Multivendor X-Cart store, the addon can be used to enable communication between the customers, the individual vendors acting as sellers, and the store owner. More information on the use of the addon with Multivendor is available in the section Messages Addon: Usage with Multivendor.

To enable the messaging functionality in your store, you need to enable the add-on Messages.
