An easy and convenient way to reach the seller gives customers confidence in the business and breeds customer loyalty. In an X-Cart store, order-related communication between the customers and the seller can be facilitated with the add-on Messages.

With this add-on enabled, either the customer or the seller can initiate a conversation with regard to an order right from the order details page. If there is a problem with an order, it is possible to open a dispute. All the communication pertaining to a specific order is stored in a communication thread linked to that particular order and can be easily accessed by the participants of the communication process at any time. A well-thought-out notification system ensures that no message will be left unread.

In a Multivendor X-Cart store, the add-on can be used to enable communication between the customers, the individual vendors acting as sellers, and the store owner. More information on the use of the add-on with Multivendor is available in the section Messages Add-on: Usage with Multivendor.

To enable the messaging functionality in your store, you need to enable the add-on Messages.

If this add-on is not installed on your system, it can be obtained from the X-Cart App Store. To install and enable the add-on on your system, follow the general add-on installation instructions in the section Installing Add-ons from the X-Cart App Store.
