Product attributes is a tool that allows a store admin to enhance a basic product description and show a customer more information about a product on the product details page in the storefront.

Product attributes can be product-specific, i.e., applied to a single product or group of products, and global, i.e., applied to all products in the store, and can be used in a variety of ways starting with a simple specification of the product properties and up to multi-value and personalized product options with price and weight modifiers.

You can also extend product attributes with the Product Classes feature to allow more product grouping options.

Global and product class attributes are managed on the Classes & Attributes page of your store's Admin area (Catalog > Classes & Attributes).

Product-specific attributes are managed in the "Attributes" tab of the related product details page in the Admin area:
